Kids Guernica & Third Paradise: Jornadas Dedicadas – Cultural Diplomacy
08.12.2023 – 12.12.2023

In the framework of the 2nd edition of the project Cultural Diplomacy, Art, Peace and Solidarity, in collaboration with the German Consulate in Barcelona, the exhibition of the large canvases of Kids Guernica inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso will be presented in collaboration with the project Terzo Paradiso by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Cittadellarte. On this occasion, Cittadellarte’s project “Preventive Peace” will also be presented in different parts of the world with the participation of Barcelona thanks to the collaboration of Drap-Art, the artistic association Art Embassy of Ukraine, coordinated by Espronceda. The exhibition, curated by Savina Tarsitano, Takuya Kaneda and Victoria Tissot, aims at reflection and dialogue on how to educate for peace, the importance of education and information in schools and local communities.
The exhibition will also present the canvas Kids Guernica made by Ukrainian refugee families with Catalan families, coordinated by the artist Jessica Von Helmholt and Victoria Tissot, currently on display in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition aims to be a moment of encounter, active participation, dialogue and sharing on the themes of freedom of expression and refugees.
From the 8th to the 15th, the days dedicated to Diplomatic Culture open with meetings, concerts and interviews; everyone can leave a thought, a word, a reflection on what we can do together to prevent conflict and resolve differences through our daily lives. The 15th of December ends with a finissage.
