On the occasion of the Sant Jordi Festival, artist Antonio Caro, recognised as a founding pillar of Colombian conceptualism,
launched his free-distribution book “El Lobo”, winner of the Grants & Commissions 2013 award from the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation.
The publication, presented alongside critic, curator and writer José Luis Corazón, is a collection of anecdotes from his “Integral Workshops in Visual Creativity”, which he has led since 1990 and which earned him a Guggenheim Fellowship.
Attendees each received an original copy of this artist’s book, along with a surprise gift of a rose — a symbol of one of the most emblematic traditions of Catalan culture: the Sant Jordi Festival.
This presentation is part of the programme of parallel events surrounding “TODO ESTÁ MUY CARO”, a retrospective exhibition by the artist curated by Alex Brahim, opening on 29 April at 8 pm at espronceda. Espronceda Space.
