Larisse Hall has lived and worked in Nelson, New Zealand, since 2001. Born in 1970 in Auckland, she is of Pakeha and Waikato Tainui descent. Hall embraces an organic lifestyle with the future in mind, guided by the whakatauki. This philosophy forms the foundation of both her life and artistic practice. Since graduating in 1992, Hall has achieved numerous accolades, including the Arte Laguna Special Prize (Italy) in 2022 and an Artist Residency/Exhibition at Espronceda in Barcelona, Spain.
