Nubia

NUBIA Labs 2026 is an incubation and professional-support programme for digital art and spatial-computing projects. Now in its fourth edition, it supports emerging creators working with XR (AR/VR/MR), creative AI, real-time interactive installations and immersive environments — helping projects evolve from prototypes into consolidated cultural proposals ready for festivals, museums and international circuits.

A digital-art incubator

NUBIA accompanies projects from prototypes or MVPs toward consolidated cultural proposals through a flexible, personalised incubation process that combines specialised mentorships, technical and strategic training, and public presentations.

What the programme offers

• Multidisciplinary mentor teams.
• Espronceda’s facilities and advanced technological infrastructure (XR headsets, motion-capture studio, projection).
• An AI/XR Playground experimental space.
• International network connections, including XR4Europe.
• Progressive public presentations and a Demo Day.

Who is it for

• Artists, creative developers, designers, researchers and interdisciplinary teams at the intersection of art, technology and digital culture.
• Projects with an existing prototype or MVP in spatial computing, creative AI, real-time interactive installations or immersive environments.

Selected projects

Four projects are already part of the programme: Bosc de Missatges (Ariadna Cortés, Luis Sentis), Digital Monuments (Love Antell, Lena Trapp), Refracciones de un gesto (Ailin Bars) and Simbiòtica (Pol Ros). The open call seeks 6–10 additional projects, for a total of 10–15 incubated proposals.
