PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

NUBIA LAB INCUBACIÓ IA MÓNS 2025 is a 12 weeks incubation program r for digital art projects that fuse Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR). We hand-pick five projects that have already moved past the concept stage and come equipped with a working MVP. Through hands-on technical sprints, UX/UI masterclasses and full-spectrum 360° mentorship, participants refine their prototypes. In November, the two standout projects earn a ticket to an international super-acceleration phase—with a strategic approach and possible presentations in festivals like Cannes XR, Venice Immersive, VRDays, Chroniques, and other top-tier events. Built on ethical, sustainable practices, our mission is to spark bold innovation, boost competitiveness and put Catalonia’s creative talent on the world stage. The format is hybrid (online and in-person).

ELIGIBILITY & WHO SHOULD APPLY

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Already have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with focus in AI and/or XR.
  • Work solo or in small teams.
  • Can commit to full duration of incubation (full-time or part-time)Believe in ethical, sustainable tech and art.

Projects are judged on:

  • Technical Maturity:How solid is your MVP?
  • Creative Vision: Originality and storytelling power.
  • Impact Potential: Social or cultural relevance.
  • Team Readiness: Commitment and capacity to deliver.

 

PROGRAM DETAILS & TIMELINE

  • June–July 2025: Open Call & Talent Research.
  • Last week of July 2025: Final selection of five teams.
  • September 2025:
    • Kick-off
    • Start educational curriculum
    • Mentor assignment & group sessions.
  • October 2025: One-on-one technical and business mentorship.
  • November / December 2025:
    Final presentations in Barcelona and in partner location in Catalunya; two projects chosen for “Super-acceleration”.

FAQ

Can I apply if my team is outside Barcelona?
Yes! We offer remote sessions and cover travel stipends for key in-person events.

How much technical support will I get?
Each team gets a dedicated XR/AI specialist for weekly check-ins and hands-on workshops.

What if I need extra developers or artists?
You can propose subcontracting in your application budget; we’ll review it during selection.
