In December 2022 Espronceda collaborated for the second year with Drap-Art, the Catalan sustainable art festival, together with Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Terzo Paradiso / Third Paradise and Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, celebrating solidarity.
The project was curated with Drap-Art, Savina Tarsitano, ambassador of the Third Paradise, and Francesco Saverio Teruzzi, worldwide coordinator of the ambassadors. The activities took place in Plaça de la Mercè, where a clothes swap was organised and the Rebirth-Day symbol was drawn with the collected clothes. The remaining clothes were donated to charity.

The International Sustainable Art Festival of Catalonia celebrated its 25th edition, and we were pleased to announce our collaboration with Drap-Art in this project: a very special programme in the field of sustainable art, with pioneers of contemporary art and leading figures of urban art, alongside a wide selection of contemporary artists and emerging projects.
From 18 November to 21 December 2021 the centre of Barcelona was flooded with shows and exhibitions by pioneers of environmental art such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, with curators Savina Tarsitano and Saverio Teruzzi for Rebirth-Day, co-organised with Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto.
A cultural route through Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, with exhibitions of urban and contemporary art, showed the endless possibilities of creative recycling and the use of objets trouvés to reflect on the relationship between art and sustainability, and on the potential of art as a tool for social transformation.
Drap-Art has grown and been enriched by the participation of Fousion Gallery, the Reial Cercle Artístic, Villa del Arte Galleries, the Centre d’Artesania de Catalunya and Sala Peligro, as well as the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. It is heartening to see the many artists, collectives and organisations that Drap-Art brings together around the world, pointing us towards a new path.
Espronceda is a partner of the Drap-Art festival through its co-director and curator Savina Tarsitano, ambassador of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise – Rebirth-Day and Cittadellarte, together with the project’s worldwide coordinator Saverio Teruzzi.
On the occasion of the opening, Savina Tarsitano presented the Third Paradise project at 8 pm at the Reial Cercle Artístic.
