NEB LAB Symposium — Creating a Sustainable Culture Ecosystem. As an official partner of the New European Bauhaus, Espronceda convened this symposium on how cultural and social institutions can adopt sustainable practices, combining scientific and artistic research with academics, artists and activists.

The symposium was structured around three topics: integrating sustainability into cultural organisations; the role of culture in developing sustainable futures; and creating a new NEB LAB for Sustainable Culture. The morning was open to the public, with contributions from REDS, FAB LAB BCN, NEÀPOLIS and the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia and opening remarks from Barcelona’s 2030 Agenda Commissioner; the afternoon hosted a working session to design the NEB LAB.
As part of the New European Bauhaus Festival 2022 / ISEA2022 (10–18 June), Espronceda presented a parallel programme featuring INTRONS by Solimán López, the AI4Future collective, a digital reconstruction of seminal exhibitions by Aalto University, and Leonardo ISAST’s “Digital Consciousness for Sustainable Futures”.
