NEB & Inclusió

ESPRONCEDA became an official partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) in 2021, one of Europe’s early adopters. The NEB is a creative, interdisciplinary initiative launched by the European Commission to shape a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future — merging design, culture, social inclusion and innovation with the principles of the European Green Deal.

Espronceda and the New European Bauhaus

As an official NEB partner, Espronceda connects ideas and outcomes with local contexts and global networks, amplifying the voices of the NEB community. Our NEB & Inclusió programme brings this vision to life locally with an international reach, placing the arts at the centre of imagining and building new social horizons.

NEB & Inclusió (2022–2025)

• 2022 — NEB LAB Symposium on strategies for a sustainable cultural ecosystem.
• 2023 — Digital art, sustainability and inclusion, with international participation at Ars Electronica, the NEB Festival in Brussels and MEET in Milan.
• 2024 — Decentralisation and participation: RISE UP residency, the KEILI project at Sónar, the IMMENSIVA programme and the Metaverse Navas Hackathon.
• 2025 — International expansion: hosting the ENCATC Congress 2025, artist residencies, the What is Gender? exhibition and SensAI Hack Barcelona.

NEB & Inclusió 2026 — Sustainability, innovation and community

In 2026 Espronceda hosts the only official NEB Festival satellite event in Barcelona. The programme explores the intersection of sustainability, craftsmanship and contemporary creation, with digital innovation as a transformative tool rather than an end in itself.
