Split Workshop Week 13-17.10.2025

Professional Media Presence (PMP) Project

The PMP Workshop Weeks are intensive international training residencies designed to empower artists with advanced digital skills, storytelling techniques, and professional identity strategies. Throughout the project, these weeks have served as vital hubs for cross-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together national artist teams from across Europe to experiment with the intersection of art and technology.
Each workshop is hosted by a different project partner, offering a unique thematic focus—ranging from immersive technologies and AI to media ethics and professional branding—ensuring that participants return with a robust toolkit for the contemporary art market.

Here is a more detailed and professional summary, structured for a program guide, website, or promotional flyer for the event in Split:

Creative reflection and digital presence

WORKSHOP 1 | Landscapes Within: Weaving Nature, Art, and Self

Mentor: Ivana Papić (Multimedia Artist & Researcher, Berlin/Split)

In this immersive session, they reflected on the meaning of authenticity and how it weaves through our sense of identity and artistic practices.
The Experience: Through playful exercises conducted in nature, participants learn to observe the subtle, poetic landscapes they carry within.

The Goal: To provide a safe space for creative exploration, allowing participants to reconnect with themselves and their creative practice with curiosity, presence, and a renewed perspective.

About the Mentor: Ivana Papić holds an MA from the University of Split and the UdK Berlin. Her work uses photography, video, and sound to create installations that explore urban ecology, female heritage, and the five senses.

WORKSHOP 2 | My feed brings all the curators to my DM’s!

Mentor: Ines Borovac

(Multimedia & Performance Artist, Netherlands)
A provocative and ironic challenge to our online identities. In the era of “techno-capitalism,” social media is a crucial part of the creative market—silence is no longer an option if you want to be remembered.
The Experience: Following the absurdist nature of navigating social media, participants step into the role of a “pseudo-influencer.” Through a series of mini-exercises, you will be encouraged to embrace the “cringe” and set your online persona free.

The Goal: To question the distribution of power over our digital bodies and to find a way to match our IRL (In Real Life) identity with our online presence without feeling like we are “selling out.”

About the Mentor: Based in the Netherlands, Ines Borovac explores socio-political choreographies through performance. Her work investigates how patriarchal norms and power structures are translated into digital regimes and data exploitation.

The Spanish Delegation: Representing ESPRONCEDA

As the Spanish partner of the PMP project, ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture selected a dedicated group of artists to represent the national team during the residency in Split.
The artists selected for this mission were:

  • Marla Jacarilla
  • Elvira Martos
  • Natasha Lelenco
  • Lorena Ruiz Pellicero
  • David Feroce

During their time in Split, our residents engaged in peer-to-peer learning and collaborative production, bridging the gap between their local practice in Barcelona and the international digital landscape.
