Professional Media Presence (PMP) Project
The PMP Workshop Weeks are intensive international training residencies designed to empower artists with advanced digital skills, storytelling techniques, and professional identity strategies. Throughout the project, these weeks have served as vital hubs for cross-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together national artist teams from across Europe to experiment with the intersection of art and technology.
Each workshop is hosted by a different project partner, offering a unique thematic focus—ranging from immersive technologies and AI to media ethics and professional branding—ensuring that participants return with a robust toolkit for the contemporary art market.
Exploring Venice: A Digital Urban Art Workshop
The Venice Workshop Week was an immersive and collaborative experience designed to transform the city’s rich urban landscape into a digital canvas. Moving beyond the conventional tourist perspective, participants explored Venice’s labyrinthine streets and historic architecture to uncover the interplay of history, culture, and social dynamics.
The primary objective was to blend urban learning with digital art creation. Working in small teams, artists used cameras, tablets, and smartphones to document the city’s textures and stories. These findings were then synthesized into collaborative digital projects—ranging from multimedia presentations to interactive maps—supported by local experts and mentors.
The Spanish Delegation: Representing ESPRONCEDA
As the Spanish partner of the PMP project, ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture selected a dedicated group of artists to represent the national team during the residency in Venice.
The artists selected for this mission were:
- Marla Jacarilla
- Elvira Martos
- Edo Garcia
- Lorena Ruiz Pellicero
During their time in Venice, our residents engaged in peer-to-peer learning and collaborative production, bridging the gap between their local practice in Barcelona and the international digital landscape.
