Gil Gelpi is inspired by philosophers Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guatarri and Spinoza’s concept of substance. He interprets the human body and all that exists as a substance in a constant state of becoming. In his creations we can detect a rhizomatic logic; a form of intuitive growth that follows an almost bacterial pattern, where the inside melts with the outside, concentrating in itself impulses and emotions, flows and energies, memories and guts, that at every moment are changing, breathing, imagining.
